As was reported here in April, Seven Generations Charter School and Evans Falls Elementary School both received $5,000 donations from Good Health® in March, after being named co-winners of the Good Health® Enjoy Doing Good™ promotion.
We wanted to share with you how Seven Generations has been putting their Good Health® winnings to good use.
For 5th graders, Seven Generations purchased a new colony of honeybees, fencing, and a variety of plants for the pollinator garden and new beehive location.
For 1st graders… organic soil, seeds, and equipment for organic beds. Check out the vertical strawberry planters and harvested radishes!
For middle schoolers … lumber, soil, and numerous plants (asparagus, potatoes, cold and warm crops, and flowers) to build vertical and raised beds for the outdoor experimental gardens.
Seven Generations Charter School is looking forward to their first big harvest and continued plans for expansion and bringing healthy food to the table.
